Study Abroad

International and domestic UL Lafayette students (and students from other universities) are invited to experience new cultures and earn course credit through our Study Abroad Programs.

All of our programs take place during the summer.

Costa Rica is a 10-day program that includes one 3-credit course and takes place during the summer intersession in May. While the program begins in San José, students are given the opportunity to travel to several different areas across the country, concluding in Liberia.

England is a 3-week program which allows students to take two 3-credit courses totaling 6 hours. One week is spent on the UL Lafayette campus and 2 weeks take place in London, England.  It takes places from May through June.

France is a 6-week program that includes three 3-credit courses totaling 9 hours. The program takes place in Paris, but students have the opportunity to travel outside of Paris and throughout Europe on weekends. It takes place from May through July.

Italy is a 6-week program with three 3-credit courses totaling 9 hours. The program takes place in Florence, but students have the opportunity to travel outside of Florence and throughout Europe on weekends. It takes place from May through July.

Teach Abroad

All UL Lafayette faculty members (except graduate students) have the opportunity to teach abroad in these summer programs. Additional opportunities for faculty will soon be available through international field experiences, field research and service-learning projects throughout the academic year.
